I started Coastal Structures Corporation almost 32 years ago with a dream to be successful and a plan to not go broke. I have been blessed with great clients, a great group of employees, and a project management team that has been with us for 10 to 22 years to create numerous beautiful and successful projects. All of these have contributed to our growth and success as a company. Although the original plan and dream are still relevant today, we feel it is time to make some adjustments to grow further, expand our distinguished client list, and get in front of the ever-changing construction industry. Effective immediately my position will change from president to CEO. I will still be in the office helping in any way I can, from sales to estimating and project management.
Michael Toemmes is being named President of Coastal Structures Corporation and will be handling all of the day-to-day operations of the company. “I am excited to take on this new role with Coastal Structures and look forward to its challenges. We have a great team and are hiring new talents every day to stay on top of our market. We have several younger superintendents in training and are getting them ready to handle projects on their own. I am extremely grateful to Harby for giving me this opportunity and I am ready for our future”
Marshall Easterling and Brad Jenkins have been named Senior Vice Presidents. Both Marshall and Brad have completed numerous projects of various sizes and types. Their talents have proved themselves in the construction industry with our growing list of client testimonials. With a combined experience of 32 years in the industry, their leadership is extremely necessary for the future successes of Coastal Structures Corp. They will continue to manage select projects as Project Managers, monitoring their projects to successful completion, but they will also be instrumental in guiding the company’s growth from executive positions.
We have added a new full-time estimator – Nat Smith and a full-time business development team member – Scott Johnson. Our goal is to continue to serve our clients’ needs and partner with new clients to bring their projects to life.
We are excited to announce the two new entities in the Coastal Structures Corporation Family:
CSC Residential – This company has been in existence for years, completing several multi-family complexes in this area and a few custom homes. With the current demand in the residential market and the increased volume of requests, CSC Residential has decided to fully enter into the custom home market. Our clients have demanded it and we are answering the call. Look for our signs in DeBordieu, Prince George, Historic Downtown Georgetown, Briarcliff Acres, and Kensington Plantation.
CSC Civil & Industrial – Jacob Mears started his career with Coastal Structures Corp. working during his summer and winter breaks from Clemson University where he received his BS in Construction Science and Management. Jacob came on full time in 2012 and has been handling the majority of the civil and industrial projects. Jacob is now the Owner and President of this entity and will keep providing the same great service that he has been for the last 10 years. Congratulations Jacob! 16 Likes
