This renowned 7800 square foot former hunt club was originally constructed in the late 1800s and now serves the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources as the office for DNR on the 24,000 acre Santee Coastal Reserve. The original materials from the house were salvaged and re-used for parts of the siding, interior walls and all the cabinetry work. The grand living room was opened to create a two story volume around the grand fireplace, which was one of seven fireplaces in the building. Designed by Tych & Walker Architects.
