This project was a 7,400 square foot addition to a 16,200 square foot building we completed the prior year. The existing building was completely occupied throughout the project and required several coordination meetings with the tenants. Once the original parking area was removed, we completed the site work and installed the building pad. The new concrete foundations and slab tied into the existing structure. To start the demolition of the brick exterior, we were required to relocate four exam rooms and install sound deadening insulation on our construction/dust barriers. The new structural steel package and decking tied into the existing structure. Once the structural components were complete and the existing building was sealed to the weather, we followed standard construction procedures to complete the addition. As we progressed with the interior finishes of the addition and started approaching the opening date, we coordinated with the tenants to access the existing space to complete the tie in locations at the corridors. This project was completed on time and within the project budget.
