Coastal Structures Corporation has officially completed the renovation and expansion project for the Carolina Canners building in Cheraw, S.C.—a Pepsi-Cola supplier and production facility of the Carolinas.
Coastal Structures worked alongside design engineer Kellahan and Associates to complete the $4 million expansion and renovation project, which began in August 2016 and was finished this month
Established in 1967, Carolina Canners was created to satisfy the need for a centralized, dependable source for canned Pepsi-Cola. Its newest project included additions and renovations to the existing facility, including a 40,000-square-foot warehouse with loading docks and a 4,300-square-foot addition to the brew, compressor and water rooms.
Carolina Canners supplies many of its original stockholders as well as neighboring bottlers with the highest quality soft drinks from its modern production center. The facility features two can production lines, two bottle production lines and a fountain syrup production line. With such a high volume of output in the Carolinas, the expanded facility will now allow for additional production.
“We are very pleased with the completion of the renovation for the Carolina Canners facility,” said Harby Moses, owner of Coastal Structures Corp. “The Carolina Canners facility is such an integral location of Pepsi production and we are proud to have helped with the expansion and continued growth for business in the Carolinas.”
